Posting a link without at least a short summary of what argument this link should prove or disprove is not very inviting for discussion. Especially as my comment didn't even touch upon pro or contra breastfeeding but just stated a simp

But both genders can feed the baby. It is not a rare situation where a mother doesn't have enough milk to feed a baby without additional food. What other things are mother-only things in your opinion?

I guess bitmap fonts will make a comeback. 128x128 is about 1/4 of a 320x200 screen. That's a lot of space, actually. Also imagine how much faster webpages would become.

FWIW, that would be great. If the link tax ("Leistungsschutzrecht") gets implemented on a European level, I also hope that Google (and all other search engine provider) then just return search results with the maximal allowed word

In my experience, there are people that like building their development from the bottom up and others like going from top down. It's perfectly fine to get a full featured IDE. If you miss the vi stuff, most IDEs nowadays have pretty go

If you are Europe based, it doesn't even makes sense anymore to fix it as daylight savings time is on its way out soon. "Sitting the problem out" is a valid problem solving strategy. :-)

FWIW, at work we have regular failing tests after new year as the automated tests usually work with the current year. So I can relate that it's easy to write buggy date handling code even today. But at least we have tests. All those po

Yes but they are just a patch over the missing functionality. The key point is "your own tooling". Git has a great tool universe but unfortunately you immediately lose many tools if you go beyond what the core offers.

Sure but you could say the same about Git. With time, the standard requirements rise and we get more demanding. How about a VCS that not only diffs line by line but saves the diffs as editing delta? Or that understands the syntax of the cod

You didn't really define what you meant with "fatal flaws". You just claimed that git didn't have them. But if your Subversion example is one of those fatal flaws, then I just link to his example of Git usage that probab

If all you had before was CVS then SVN wasn't a pain. Atomic commits and file renames.

None of the other big VCS had fatal flaws. If they had fatal flaws, they wouldn't have been used. Sure, not being able to rename a file easily in CVS was quite an annoyance but nothing that made it completely useless. There were always

How about history tracking for file renames doesn't work well? It's hit and miss if git blame --follow works. Subversion did this better even before Git existed. Git is completely oblivious to moving code from one file to another.
