Well I work from 7am-5pm, commute home takes about an hour. From 6-7:30 I cook/eat. From 7:45-9 I lift weights, from 9-10 I box. From 10-11:30 I work on whichever web project is capitalizing my time. Then I go to sleep and start all over th

Well I think this is pretty easy. Create a budget for living - the essentials to live comfortably. Just subtract that from the payment, and the rest for the startup.

I worked out of the CIC (cambridge innovation center - outside of boston) for close to a year. Great co-working space, gave me resources I never would have had on my own (conference rooms etc.). Would certainly recommend to others!

#2 sounds much better - it gives you safety, and the job description doesn't sound different. The amount of potentially negative variables in #1 would make me shy away - unless you have serious faith in the product/business/team.

Personally, I think you need to provide more to be a 50/50 co-founder if you're not helping to build the product, and you only want to give equity. Just my two cents.

In my opinion, you have to be narcissistic to want to start a business. It takes more than just having confidence and believing in yourself - you have to have the attitude that you will succeed for XYZ reasons, and you have to execute on th

You should be looking for someone who shares your passion, whatever it may be - and what the business is based around. So look in relevant communities to your business.

I trade forex on currensee.com (which is a social network of forex traders) - a lot of them are shorting the EUR/USD because of it, and a poll in the discussion area say that 50% of members who voted think the eur will crash due to greece.

My guess is no. Like there isn't really a google killer out there (for search), I wouldn't expect there to be a facebook killer out there any time soon.

I would say no, solely for the fact the people will join social networks where their friends are, and their friends are on facebook.

I think theres space for creating a social network for private groups of friends - rather than competing head on with facebook.

I thought ebay had a system to bid up to your maximum amount anyway while placing minimum bid interims? Doesn't that make this obsolete?

Personally (as a designer) I don't think its the right approach for a design community/news source. If you look at dribbble.com - they're clearly onto something for designers.
