Yes. Most teams are using git repos in Azure DevOps. Anything in GitHub is supposed to be made public pretty quickly.

Yeh, you’re right. I was thinking more of this and remember all the alerting and incident management stuff. Then I realized that I hate those tools and would happily leave them behind :)

This topic is one of the primary reasons I enjoy working at MS these days. The tech stack is full of OSS or industry standard tools, not a bunch of internal NIH things. My current stack is: React, Node, Kubernetes, Linux (for dev and deploy

Chrome literally did something like this. When the user searched the web from the Windows search box, it used to open their default browser to bing.com. Chrome started to inspect the url and redirect to Google.com. So Microsoft changed it

Kind of a big difference between being fired for trimming to organize (which is protected by law) and being fired by pushing pseudo science to marginalize a certain group of colleagues.

So you are saying that this was a totally fine way to write? But it sounds very awkward and sloppy to me. Maybe, it’s just me.

On top of the generally absurd claims made in the official Google post, that writing was just terrible. Comma splices all over the place, sentences starting with So and But, very strange tone and wording in some things. Did anyone edit thi

The only difference I noticed was that my brain didn’t work as well due to barely sleeping for months.

Yeh it seems weird to mix clients and services together. Apple’s numbers are almost entirely for a mail client, while google and yahoo are all a service. Who knows what they mean by Microsoft but it seems like their are counting outlook.co

For the life of me I can’t remember the syntax for a particular thing I do in the JavaScript console at work. Someone showed me the trick in an email about seven years ago and about once a month I need to do this thing so I search my inbox

Yes. Font weights are all messed up, and colors too. I’ve seen fonts that are barely readable on FF because the contrast ratio between the font color and background color is tiny, however it looks correct on all other browsers.

It’s also really rough for me on Windows too. I try it every months a new release comes out and I don’t last a day. Sites render badly (names colors and fonts look wrong on Firefox but look the same on Edge Chrome and Safari (macOS)) It han
