Off-topic: Meanwhile, it might be discovered a year later that some agency from China got full access to OpenAI and Google both, and they leapfrogged everyone else. I said might, because it has happened multiple times in the last decades.

Where is the pricing? I looked around and not obvious if I missed it. Some of these used to be in copilot labs. I used and then disabled it. Was part of monthly copilot subscription.

"The truth of the matter is that companies aren't monetarily incentivized to avoid layoffs." Very nicely put. Fixing this will help lot of employees.

The article is a bit critical in my opinion. The fact per the article is "a directive that all of its most important products—those with more than a billion users—must incorporate generative AI within months.". This is very differ

Free systems offered by Corporations survive as long as there is incentive (justified ROI). Headcount movement decisions are done based on numbers. That said, 10+ years is a GOOD life expectancy of a software product used at scale.

While I agree with your assessment, the lifespan of such companies (lot of red tape) will get shorter and shorter.

Yes, they are solving a problem (make it simple and faster, save time, etc) for the end user. For a subset of products, they are just jumping on the bandwagon first and deciding what do do next. The value is real and once in a generation.

Nice work. Thanks for sharing. Q. I understand LLM with langchain is running on a public facing server. Are these attacks infiltrating the server to plant an MITM, or confusing the LLM to execute malicious code via prompts, or placing malic

I am an iPhone user. Irrespective of software update, the device gets really slow at 3yrs mark, forcing me to change. So I do not know if supporting a phone software for >3yrs is a good idea or just marketing.

Technology wise, ChatGPT is not a challenge for Google. It was a blessing that OpenAI is charging $42 for premium tier. Google very much can build a similar/better offering in a near term and would not have to worry about losing ad $$,

Token based pricing will not be understood by common user. Per-question pricing is psychologically repelling. My hypothesis is that there will be 3 tiers of pricing. For example, FREE (limited to 10 questions per day. Logic is that an avera

I do not understand why the above thread is downvoted. Just because Apple has a problem detecting/controlling fraudulent transactions, they want an app to be dead! Kill-x-app-as-a-service would be popular among scammers.
