Mongo is a marketing company for a mediocre product, but no doubt they're damn good at marketing it.

Try packaging a postgres extension :-)

Primarily from my perspective... the entire package repo acts as one enormous program. Which is both good and bad. Its not that easy imo to create ad hoc packages or packaging scripts

No headphone jack, twice as much as my nexus 5x. You lost me and my family as a customer for both phones and service.

This is very similar to maidsafe. Except maidsafe pays you for hosting. Does this?

Linode did just start offering extensible block storage at $0.10/GB/Mo so in your case not exactly cheap, $120/mo or so minimum basically for anything sensible. AWS EBS is cheaper, $0.045/GB/Mo for their HDD option.

I chose rust after endless annoyances in a 100kloc go program due to piss poor type safety and nil pointer checks, lack of meaningful containers, and working around GC when working with C libs. I didn't think I needed any of those thin

This is a growing concern even here in Chicago honestly. The problem isn't rent avg, it's rent avg in neighborhoods you would actually want to live in are growing to unpayable levels.

Wow, company makes an app and is valued at 1/5th the value of GE, an international conglomerate making an enormous range of products. Seems wildly over valued to me still. Compare to yelp even at a market cap of ~2b vs this 21b mkt cap
