Do you really want to ask someone if they want to kiss? What are we becoming? How close are we "Please sign this contract to initiate physical contact"?

The connection would stay open but after a few minutes the ping would fail. I had even setup a wifi reset script to get back to working 20 times a day. It did it only on some routers, even if I connected to them through my old AirPort Expre

Incredibly my El Capitan -> High Sierra update went smoothly and fixed the abhorrent wifi problems I had had forever—however that was the only reason I wanted to upgrade. macOS has not been evolving for a while. I miss the Leopard days.

I agreed with the sentiment that sometimes unnecessary words are said and soon regretted, but I wish they mentioned that this cannot be the norm. You can’t say sorry once a day.

If it makes it easier to reason about, it's equivalent to: // The Promise resolves when the server starts responding const response = await fetch(…); // The Promise resolves when both the transfer

I can use WeChat, you can't use Facebook. I really shouldn't have to explain why that's a bad thing.

Short and always with a terrible example. I would never trust W3Schools with the simplest stuff. Take this form documentation, they don't even mention using <label> https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_forms.a

The forwarding part of Tip #1 is important. I regularly mark as spam marketing emails from companies who never asked me to sign up, but I still want to receive their transactional/support emails.

Surely it's nice not having to worry about it, but how is that better over explicit await? If a sub-sub-sub-function suddenly decides to yield, you might not even know that your whole path is waiting for that. Right? Perhaps you need b

So what happens to the call stack above foo? It looks like `await` is implied and the program stops until `bar` is done.

This has nothing to do with Chrome vs Firefox though; you added ublock, that made the difference.

I hope that accounts will have some badges on npmjs.org/<pkg> eventually. That will increase awareness and highlight those that don't have 2FA.

People will complain if the colors change. I mean it's not great when things change from under your feet, but it's a OS update is a "we're doing this for you"-kind of deal. People who upgraded knowingly are generall

You can make that excuse for everything. I don't want to pay "Just $1 per day" on overpriced items. I'd rather pay $0.7 per day on a ok-priced item. I hope all of this hostility from Apple will result in lower marketshar

But, but... the iPhone 7 still comes with a dongle, so they're still providing the DAC. At least for now. The rest sounds about right, unfortunately.

I can completely agree on Steam. I just opened it last week and it felt like a jump in the past. It may sound like a small detail but... when was the last time you saw a macOS app that's not retina? Steam's browser is not retina.
