Whenever I see the "something of the something" I always think of anchorman movies and eating bats being the "chicken of the cave".

If you've actively lobbied for that for years, in multiple states and those darn Republicans refused it... Then those years would include times when there was a Democrat president and congress, and governors. So maybe blaming the other

Does anyone else get super depressed by this? I did some great work today. I coded something pretty cool and useful. I built a little deck to explain it. My coworkers loved it. My job security went up. I enjoyed it. The journey is the rewar

It's not just slow breathing. It's in one nostril, pump stomach muscles, out the other, pump stomach, repeat. There are YouTube videos demonstrating it.

Actually a lot less, more like 30 miles. Worse if it's cold, hot or uphill. I've owned a couple of leafs. The problem is kind of interesting - a smaller battery in and of itself is painful but there's a deeper problem. YOu ha

With respect, that's the dogma. We don't even teach the respiration and ketone metabolism pieces that Warburg found so interesting. We long ago declared the whole thing genetic when it looks much more likely to be metabolic and mi

You're sidestepping the broken ketone metabolism that we know about in tumors. But anyway, your point about causation, that's why I said originally that it depends on your definition of causal here. We absolutely know that low car

I find the down votes fascinating. I'm literally listing facts of the process which anyone can check. Maybe cancer makes people uneasy or something, or they really like drinking coca cola? It strikes me as ironic too given the recent o

That's sort of true depending on the stage and type but not the causal mechanism behind why PET scans work. Fetuses can upcycle ketones to ATP, tumors can't.

Sure. Once you get a positive cancer diagnosis, or sometimes before, you give someone a PET scan to see if it's gone metastatic. A PET scan will "detect cancer" down to a few mm in resolution. It will only miss cancers smalle

If you think long and hard about the core reason a PET scan works then it's inescapable that Coca Cola causes cancer, depending on your definition of "cause". In fact, we've know about this, the Warburg hypothesis, for a
