You could use TimescaleDB which is a Postgres extension that adds support for columnar tables and time-based chunking. Works brilliantly IMO.

When coding JS + SQL, nothing beats WebStorm’s DB plug-in with SQL auto-completion, validation, etc. I really wish the VS Code SQL/Postgres plugins would get there, but it’s a lot of work so I get that it probably will never happen unl
