I think Rust has shown very well how ROP with first-class syntax support pretty much eliminates all boilerplate code. IMHO Rust nailed error handling with the `Result` type/trait.

Java has/had a compiler check that forced you to write catch blocks or `throws` annotations in/on functions that call other functions which might throw. The feature is called "checked exceptions" and I believe it has be

What I don't get about these examples is how the HTML from the responses should actually be rendered. I assume no frontend would want to render the HTML as is. Hence they would need IDs on those DIVs to style and place them. But wouldn

This awkward dance is due to destructors/finalizers calling `Dispose()`. Since JS doesn't have those, this shouldn't be an issue.

Congrats on the launch! I've finished three of the challenges so far and I can highly recommend it. They make it very easy to get started and the automated tests are just super slick. It's just such a good learning platform where

While I agree that legacy media is very slowly killing itself, I'm very much less optimistic about it, because I don't buy into that brave new world of independent artists. The author totally ignores their dependency on the platfo

I've been developing with C# professionally since 2012. I'm using dotnet core since the 3.1 release. Pros: - Superb IDE. Nowadays even without Resharper, which was a must have in my early C# days. - Massive standard library and ex

I always found it funny how AI researchers are desperately trying to create consciousness so their machines will finally pass as human. All the while the key to being human lies in the unconscious.

Nice, every language should have a Result/Either Monad. Why not make it a functor too and add map()? ok(1) |> map(fn v -> v + 1 end) # ok(2) Of course you can also make it a bifunctor by implementing bimap(). And what about filte

Since C# 8.0 we have not only nullable value types (e.g. `int?` or `Nullable<int>`), but nullable reference types as well (e.g. `string?`). This means it's possible to have a maybe monad that does not require an extra generic typ
