I'm not convinced there is any non derivative asset class that can act as a hedge against inflation. Perhaps some derivative securities are (put options, swaps, maybe even trading currencies?) but these all have a premium and some have

I'm starting to feel more hopeful about the US's digital infrastructure. If this goes well instant payments will be available with no ACH 2 day withdrawal delay. The IRS is exploring a system for people to file taxes online. The S

The biggest annoyance with Venmo is taking your money out takes a couple of days. Perhaps Venmo ends up using this to change that and move the money but I'd prefer to skip the middle man and transfer through the fed's service over

Scott has some of the best videos and writing on programming out there. This talk[0] (the programmers toolkit) is one of my favorites and is something that you can keep coming back to regardless of experience or background. [0] https:/

Regarding visualization of codebases, something I've wanted for a long time is a graph of function calls across an entire project. I want to know all the callers and callees of every function. This shouldn't be too hard, we alread

Okay, I understand the distinction but as I said, it seems to be a distinction without a difference. The idea of REST has evolved beyond the initial definition to include a broader and far more impactful meaning. The abstraction of UI over

I read the article fully. If an API response included all the possible actions and information that one takes as a follow up to a previous call, how is that any different from providing the equivalent forms and links to additional informati

After reading the article you linked in another sibling comment's response, can you point to an example of what a true RESTful service looks like. I see how under that definition an API can't be RESTful, but what service then can

Nearly everything about the forward looking future feels worse off. Health, education, and rent costs seem to never find a ceiling let alone a reason to go down. Home ownership appears unattainable. The climate crisis plagues the world as w
