Marco has another bookmarklet currently available for testing by subscribers that lets you send individual articles directly to your Kindle, bypassing your Instapaper queue entirely. I haven't tried this yet, however.

There's a difference between patents that happen to cover software and a carved-out subsection of patents designated specifically for software by law. We currently have the former - Niley believes we should have the latter.

What about the pharmaceutical industry? Third parties are likely able to reproduce and sell generic versions of drugs within months of the original version being put on the market. Without patent protection, that's not enough time to come

I don't think this is correct. Planet Money did a recent podcast on this very subject (Would A Downgrade Matter?)[1], and they concluded that a downgrade from AAA to AA+ doesn't matter very much in the long run. Yes, it's somewhat embarrass

But that's the thing - Apple isn't trying to prevent anyone else from using rounded corners. Apple's claims in that suit are pretty specific, especially if you look at the similarity of the icons. There are countless ways to represent an id

It works quite well on the Roku, but their interface for browsing is horrible. There's also no recommendations based on previous viewing/rating, as far as I can tell. I use Amazon video far more to rent recent releases than I use it for the

That huge jump in weekly sales starting in 2/14 seems to line-up with the iPhone 4 release on Verizon. If that launch was a main driver for Camera+ sales, the magnitude is impressive.
