I don't understand how the "downtrodden" who rejects help from the government is somehow naive, but the billionaire who votes to have his taxes increased is somehow smart, noble, and a patriot. At the end of the day everyone

This would have been very helpful to me about two to three months ago. I was doing an interview assessment during that period and I was required to do it in Scala, although I had no experience in it. My experience with HTTP requests comes m

So what? Businesses are born and die every day. Every major US tech company is being fined in the EU nowadays. Poor EU regulation shouldn't dictate US policy.

What regulations are Google violating? Being a monopoly isn't grounds for fines or antitrust.

Yes, because all Google has to do is use their search money to destroy the competition; it's not like Google has any failed products or anything. /s Also, being a multibillion dollar company and using your billions in one product

Exactly. I really don't understand why people try and muddy the waters around Google products. I'm not forced to use Google; Google products are just damn good. Having a monopoly in a market due to the fact that your product is ju

Its largest shareholders are all American, they were founded in America, by Americans, headquartered in America, and almost all it's employees live in America and are American. My guess is that Google considers itself American.

I like that the arguments for OpenStreetMap were more about the advantages over Google Maps, instead of "because Google is a 'bad' company" like so many Google debates delve into. I love using Google Maps for my applicat

The EU definitely "needed" it. Aside from France and the UK, EU countries are pathetic militarily. NATO was originally formed to be a defense alliance of democratic countries against communism and Russia. Russia, while a threat to

It's a leftist/European critique of America. If you don't have free healthcare and free college, your nation is filled with neanderthals.

This isn't true at all. The EU is just now starting to think about self defense because of Trump. Trump's insurgence is putting into question the US-led world order and NATO alliances. Without the US, NATO is functionally useless.
