Sure. And the "no blocking" rule was eventually struck down. My point is there were no existing laws that would have forced AT&T to reverse their decision.

Except in this case (cellular service), there is at least some competition. And FaceTime isn't particularly a good example, as AT&T reversed their policy without Net Neutrality rules in place. Competition, at least in this one exam

I'm sorry if that may have happened to you. In my experience, this has never happened and, if anything, I was given a substantial bump above the number I gave as a current salary. I guess one anecdote vs. another. I dunno, we'll h

Is this actually happening? After a good interview, qualified employees are being turned away by companies in the later stages of the interview/employment process, simply due to candidates refusing to divulge their current salary? I me

You've made a lot of assumptions and came to a conclusion based on it. Does it send that data to Google for processing? Or does it happen locally on device. That's a big difference.

Then it should be easy to enumerate the issues, and offer some ideas for solutions. As someone who follows this issue quite closely, I've seen neither. This entire thread illustrates the confusion – and that there is absolutely no cons

Sure, and as someone who owns an older model, this feature (as I'm learning about it today) actually sounds compelling for my particular use case. But I also put covers/tape over my webcams. So sure, privacy concerns are all relat

This is basic supply/demand. We have an increase in demand with the supply of doctors apparently staying stagnant. I think that's the point of this particular thread – not necessarily the billing issue.

I imagine a late 1800's version of you would also require car owners to use their horse and buggy exclusively at least once a week because it will "give a lot of people jobs". That's some sloppy reasoning.

I hate reactions like this. You've deduced that Etsy.com is likely a "dysfunctional organisation" for the mistake of missing an "Unsubscribe" link in a single email. If that's all it takes, we certainly live in

Good luck defining "low". Also, coarse percentages of charge provide no indication of the amount of time left of a battery based on current activity. Which is something you would need in the above offline/save example.

Whether or not it did, you don't see a lot of people complaining they're no longer working on a farm. And we've replaced all of those jobs with arguably better and safer ones.

You should visit some farms. Back in the 1800's agriculture was 80%+ of jobs. With the end of slavery and the evolution of machinery that number dropped to <2%. Where was the economic implosion when automation took over agriculture?
