I need to turn my apartment into a prison then. It's incredible really. The Amazon logistics folks weren't able to accurately put packages into the parcel locker system at my apartment, and would constantly just leave them on the

I love street art, but there's a few things I'd do to make the app more usable. - You can swipe from the left and just see the word "BottomTabNavigator" in a side menu. That seems like an InterfaceBuilder element made it

Sure, but if you can drive hooks safely, they seems to make some things _very_ clean. I'm going back through and rewriting a toy app I haven't launched yet to use hooks and it's been a joy to work with them so far.

There were plenty of naysayers back then too. Engineers love to play devil's advocate. Now that the posts/articles about cryptocurrency are becoming more frequent, those dissenting opinions are also becoming more frequent.

The suspense demo is fantastic, and I really can't wait to get 16.3 into production code. The async rendering clean up and the new Context API make my heart sing.

It's saving lives in a different way. Without my eyesight, everything would be difficult. I probably could no longer code, or at least in the same capacity. I love visual art. I don't have much eyesight left, but a retinal detachm

I have had 4 retinal detachment surgeries on my left eye, with the last rendering it blind. I had one retinal detachment surgery and a subsequent cataract surgery (since vitrectomy almost always results in a cataract) on my right eye. It&#x

They're basically asking if the car avoided doing something that would have been more destructive (e.g not hitting 2 people but only hitting one person instead). Or if there was no conflict decision making that happened and the car acc

Cool, I'll check this out. Hate browsing for content on the Netflix iOS app since it's all originals when I really just want something else lately. What I'd really like is the ability to set a couple filters on my phone and s

Might hurt blockchain adoption in the US, but there is much more than BTC out there. There are specific chains that many Asian companies are adopting for use that will proliferate and generally stay out of American news. There's a lot

Reminds me of an exploit back in 10.7 where you could create a new admin privileged user from a non-admin account using some bash commands. Used that to add Xcode to my work computer at college so I could fool around with learning how to co

I think what the poster is trying to say is this: Bitcoin has a finite supply. If demand remains at its current rate, inherently the value will also continue going up.

Except the largest 3rd party Objective-C and Java (Android) libraries are usually MIT as well. I don't really think this has to do with traditions as far as per platform licensing goes.

I've been disappointed once with them. Bought 2 tickets (one for me, one for GF). She was assigned a seat, I was told they don't allot all seats for any given flight and that I would get that seat at the gate. Couldn't change

I've updated every one since iOS 5 and it's always been like this in the early releases before the iPhone event. Though, as always, YMMV.

Everyone's always so cynical... They're sending (presumably) two non-astronauts further than any humans have ever been. I assume there will be future milestones that probably include landing on the moon to test the Mars landing.

I think you're conflating a BS web dev culture (which is amplified extensively through the internet and feedback-loopy sites like HN) and actual development technologies. There's always articles like you're mentioning. I mean

Different strokes, I think. In our organization, it ended up being UI code that was the 90% number. The actual business logic code wasn't extremely extensive in the same way that we had to know Android and iOS, and then basically trans

Thanks for pointing that out, forgot my old site was still in the profile. What do you mean by feds? That's still a very confusing statement. Switched off of Xamarin about 8 months ago and haven't looked back. My organization had
