Ahh ok, thanks for the response. JS animations are one of the biggest pain points I have had with RN so far, especially for all of the old Android devices out there.

Are animations in react-native offloaded to the native renderer, or are they in JS?

It doesn't restrict just browsers, but every app that uses a WebView. This also isn't the only thing they're doing on that front.

I second this. Building it used to be an absolute clusterfuck (for iOS). You still need Linux to build for Android.

It's more likely that a greater amount of people use the recipe as-is, instead of halving. My guess is the recipes aren't playing reverse-psychology with cooks.

As someone who dove headfirst into RN without JS/React experience (~5 years of iOS), you don't need to know any of that stuff beforehand. I haven't gone through (or really looked in-depth) this tutorial, but I can say that th

They're talking about the App Store most likely. Just give it time and it'll rise to the top. Not enough searches -> downloads to sway the servers yet.

The real question: If the new 15" MBP was the same weight as last generation and included the new Kaby Lake processor, more RAM, better battery, etc. would you pass on it for the weight?
