As a guitarist and music snob, I absolutely LOVED the game when it came out - bought GH1,2,3 and World Tour. You guys nailed it, and I'm just happy I personally get to tell you thanks. Thanks for sharing your side as a developer.

I guess I thought that Andreessen made a correct abstraction, in that "superior creative talent or exceptional brain power will be essential" to succeed in the workplace (in 2042, and really every year before and after because nothing has c

Monetarily, the statistics pan out and STEM graduates earn more than liberal arts majors. But is that everything? There's a lot to be said for curiosity as a motivator for work - a lot of us here dive in to side-projects with zero care for

Exactly. I hate when it tries to be too real, so I take the exact opposite position as the parent. It's a movie, not reality. And they look like soap operas.

I think he hit upon the main point at the very end. If you wanna' learn something, and I mean really learn it, you've gotta' be invested in it - and there's no better way to do that then building your own projects. Saying I want to learn to

It depends on the nature of the work. I could make a beautiful illustration, then scale it from here to the moon and, at least to me in my hypothetical situation, it would still look good. Like all things, it depends. Some people crave deta

Sure it makes you responsible, but this is a very, very easy solution to the problem. Obviously, for dynamically iterating, an NSAttributedString is the "best" solution. You just line them up in interface builder and use your eyes and the a

This isn't just interface design, or product design. It's brand design, if you will. This is especially true if you're in the business of mostly consumer-facing software. The experience absolutely matters, and if you can consistently provid
