Yes, obviously, but I made the point to show that shunning an OO language from the get-go isn't necessarily the best way to proceed if you want to learn programming from nothing.

I learned to program by doing the above method with Objective-C, an OOP. Basically I made a Tip Calculator, and did it in a very functional way. Here was my thought process. I basically had one method, "didClickCalculateTip" - a button clic

I think the name of the project is more important than who posted it. Maybe switch the username for the Title, under each submission?

Fortunately, it won't hit us in 2036 either. "Preliminary observations by Goldstone radar in January 2013 have effectively ruled out the possibility of an Earth impact by Apophis in 2036." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/99942_Apophis

This is for iPhone right now, though a pretty sweet iPad version is almost done as well. And I'm starting an Android version as I type (not literally but you get the point). Let me know how you guys and gals like making art.

It's all about metacognition. You need to look at the designed things in your life and understand WHY you like or dislike them. Look at the spacing of text, the font choices, the color choices, the contrast between fonts/colors/etc, the sha

A lot of people live and work in the "system," if you will, but are still vehemently against it. I work for the Man, and wish I didn't, ideologically. But I have health care, solid vacation allotment and decent coworkers, so I'll bide time

I see what you're saying, but if your work is entirely dependent on others working with you and vice versa, then I don't think that mentality works. If what you're doing depends on Bob's work, and Bob's work depends on what you're doing, th
