Don't be a fool. You would let your children go hungry and live a worse life (directly because of your actions) out of principle? It's not simple. Having a family can be a beautiful thing. Not having one and spilling the beans on

Good naming conventions are pretty key here. My guess is the original writer of that code had used those in something else entirely, then reused those methods in a new method so he wouldn't have to rewrite. I always feel like it's

I agree. Google does great engineering, but their "developer-as-an-end-user" to their engineering really suffers. Take a look at Android documentation vs. iOS documentation if you want an example. I really wish Google would hire s

Shakespeare's comedies are absolutely hilarious. You need to watch one at an authentic Shakespeare festival as well. His tragedies and histories are good too, but I'm a sucker for the humor, play on words, and overall wit in his w

It may be worth asking why, but I don't think it's an actual problem, and especially not a problem that needs action to make the distribution of races/genders more fair. White men aren't preventing people from getting in

Wow, Lisp is pretty gross. There just doesn't look like a whole lot of order there, and it looks pretty annoying to write.

I'm an App Developer who has never done this. Every app developer I know has never done this. I really don't understand why you are so bitter for absolutely no reason, except maybe you have a 3GS and won't upgrade.

Yeah, there's some weird stylistic choices with it, but overall pretty cool. I'm compiling to see if some interesting things I've done actually work or not.

I also thought that was pretty lame. I tweeted at him about coming to the University of Alabama when he was asking about where to stop. If any area needs to know that disruption is not just an option, but absolutely possible, is the South.

I understand what you're saying, because that has merit too, but the point of the book is that you don't need to wait for permission to get off your ass and build the idea you've been wanting to. It's easier now than eve

My least favorite thing about Google Fonts is that they look different on different browsers for each platform too. On my latest site design I had to put them on my server because they actually looked the worst in Chrome.

There was a streak of like 5 or 6 in a row where I was dumbfounded at the choices. I feel like they're being way too objective here and including people who are absolutely terrible.

Yeah, but you have to pretty much turn that money back into cash ASAP if the value of BTC is dropping, or else someone pays you 1 BTC for something and that's worth ~$800 one day and $100 another. If it's just in an account, you&#

Xcode is great, especially version 5. It's my favorite IDE I've worked with, and gets new-line tabs right every time - something I wish Rubymine would do.
