Depends on the application of this, i.e. whether the total is more important or the individual values are more important. Example: You're filling out a timesheet for a contracting job, and you worked 8 hours on several different tasks

A lot of research in astronomy is conducted to figure out how bright certain objects are, one classic example is "Cepheid variable" stars, these pulsate at a rate correlating with their brightness. You're right in that there

It's believed that the spiral arms are quasi-static and that the stars move in and out of these regions of higher density. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Density_wave_theory

Not entirely sure, but could be using the data from the Orbiting Carbon Observatory satellite[0]. This satellite orbits the Earth on the order of ~16 times per day which would not be enough granularity for the smoothness of this video, so I

You can also use 'type assertions' to minimise restructuring, eg, the following is the same number of lines as your first example (and compiles to identical code): const a = A() a.b = new SubtypeOfB() (<SubtypeOfB

You don't need any of those to make websites and web apps already (or to be less pednantic, you don't need most of those) so I'm not sure what your question is.

The article also mentions that so I'm guessing the questioner is looking for other examples.

I believe the parent is referreing to the fact that the specific age range is not specified. Eg. is this 90-99 (my guess), 70+ or "exactly 95", etc.

Where did you get the "0.5-1%" figure from? That may be true in some cases, but not in this extreme case, here it's closer to half the delta-v (which, due to the rocket equation is enormously less difficult to achieve). Solar

I would argue that in the case of Facebook's updating feed that the idea is fine, the implementation is buggy. What should happen is the new content is loaded above and instantaneously the document scroll position is updated to preserv

From the article: > Nothing has inherent meaning. Everything is only what it is and that's it. I think you come to the same conclusion but perhaps express it a little deeper than the author does.

You can use Boolean(value) but it will return an 'object' of a 'boolean' type, rather than a primitive boolean (it's one of JS's flaws so is generally avoided). Note: their example of a similar piece of code is
