I don't understand what was so bad about the announcement. They made a mistake, they took steps to fix it. That's what the announcement said, and that's all it needed to say. I don't expect companies to come groveling to me, begging for my

With the hyper-AJAXed world, client-side innovation becomes impossible. Are you serious? Have you heard of the canvas element? It allows modern browsers to do things that were only possible 2 years ago in Flash. Have you noticed how there

Read the last sentence. This was a pretty good troll - I know I found myself agreeing with him, nodding my head a bit. Then I saw the last sentence and had to laugh at myself for falling for it.

The touchpad on my Mac laptops are the reason I'll never buy another non-Mac laptop again. Best tactile surface I've ever felt.

When you're asked, during a job interview, which is the fasted lookup function, don't, as is very common, say, "a B-tree." Perfect hash tables always win, hands down. Wait, saying a B-tree is the common answer?

Yeah, I work at Bronto, next to Tyler's. Underground is pretty awesome, plus the free arcades are solid.

This isn't about drugs. This about the coercive force of government wanting a cut of the profits. Think of it as a protection racket.

Every single criticism of Bitcoin I've seen is based on the assumption that it will fail because it's not a fiat-based currency. They list Bitcoin's features as the reasons it will fail. They talk about the past 200 years of central banking

The shadow physics idea is awesome and brilliant. What a great, creative idea. The only word that comes close to describing it, is "tight."

Take it out of log view. It seems like languages quickly get to about 100,000 articles in a very short (relatively time span). I wonder if that's because there are a few hundred thousand universal articles and which they are.
