In a corporate context it's basically impossible for employees to host an app anywhere. So an app that works entirely locally and you can send to colleagues sounds useful.

Google takes a long time to roll out models in general. Both my personal and work accounts still have only 3.6 Flash, even though 3.8 was released 2 weeks ago and 3.7 more than a month ago.

The 300 searches a month work for me because I only use Kagi when I think it will give better results than others. And most searches are trivial so any free engine will do (like you have the website name and want the url).

Lots of companies have security policies that forbid installing a local agent/harness. So employees still only have access to the web chat interface, and copy paste content yes.

That's pretty high for engineering in France though. Most engineers by far are way below that there, this is top management level.

But you still need to store the login and version number for each domain in a database. And provide the secret key. At this point you might as well store the encrypted password along with the rest.

There is no requirement about that here. Anyway I only provide a printed copy, which the employee visually compares to the person.

I’ve been blocked by Turnstile without possibility of challenge, no way to access nor know why. And it was with standard iOS and Windows machines and no VPN or anything. It happens.

I do the same thing, I only use Kagi when the result I want isn’t obvious, so the cheap plan is plenty. It’s easy to do with the browser’s shortcuts.

When I plan to use a rental car I usually pack a phone holder that fits on air vents. You never know if you’ll be able to connect your phone to the car so that’s a small backup.

It has its quirks. For example it can’t attach an image without inlining it. Or if the sender has several email addresses saved it can’t show which one sent you a particular email. And it can’t show you which of your email addresses receive

I got locked out of some websites by Cloudflare Turnstile on some very standard configurations, like an iPhone on Safari, or a Windows 11 desktop with Firefox or Edge, neither with a VPN on. I never found out why.
