Same for me. I have spent way too much time trying different window managers: i3,i3 gap, sway, bspwm, etc. Usually you also need to find a menu bar, customize it, deal with screen locking, multiple screens setup with different dpi, etc. I stop

Not sure if I am a Typescript fan but I would most of the time choose Typescript over Javascript most of the time for frontend or backend NodeJs development. I used to think the same. Coming from the Java world (might explain why I like it)

Yes, the logging event is younger, the timestamp displayed is of greater value. Considering the epoch time as the date of birth the displayed timestamp is older. Probably a translation issue from my native language.

According to https://github.com/microsoft/TypeScript/wiki/Performance#pre... using union types in your example vs interfaces like #6 is bad for compilation performance.

About #2 Wasn't so sure about typescript so I tested it to confirm that it worked. But in Python3, the default arguments are evaluated at module time loading if I am not mistaken. The following will display roughly the same timestamp

This to a certain extent reminds me of the yellow vest protests that we had in France end of 2018, beginning of 2019. Well it started for a somewhat different reason (a new "eco" tax on gas) but 1 of the protesters claim was that

Hard to say but for me I would say: 1. Windows 2. MacOS 3. Linux I had more crashes on Linux than any other, all related to the Gpu driver (intel iGpu), and it really depends on the kernel version but newer not necessarily means better. In

It would be bad for Linux users. To my knowledge, it is the only web browser that offers without patching video hardware acceleration. It works on both Xorg and Wayland. But TBH, the last few releases from 79 showed some bugs and regression

As a French guy still living in France, I don't find Paris to be attractive at all. It is a dirty city, housing is expensive and generally in a poor state, and there a lot of security issues and social unrest: burglaries, violent prote

I like the way npm does. It has a cache of all downloaded versions and it tries to flatten the dependencies when possible. If there are incompatible versions they remain deep in the dependency hierarchy.

I lived in Montreal a couple of years 10 years ago and I visit it quite regularly. I actually enjoy that city and don't find it depressing. It is a big city but it does not feel oppressive. A lot of new modern buildings have been erect

Since I develop at work in a local VM with limited resources, I use Neovim + Coc that I found lighter than VSCode for NodeJs Js/TS, Python, Golang development. I can be very efficient in Neovim with a bunch of plugins fzf + coc + NerdT

Quick update since Firefox 81 package has been released in Arch repos, I have been able to test it and it seems that videos instabilities are gone. I get a <10% cpu consumption on youtube videos with webrender + vaapi.

I still find the Typescript compilation time to be annoying. I rediscovered using Typescript for backend development on NodeJs and was very unpleasantly surprised by the compilation time (my only complaint). For a project with 20-30 files a
