Well kinda but people are saying that it is memory safe, which is not a guarantee with unsafe code.

Why not just let the program get that value? If my config has side effects I wouldn't be confident that my program would run the same each time. To me it seems like this would lead to poor reproducibility.

I am currently using it for a university course. It is a simple language to learn. The most troublesome part is to install the right drivers on Linux. It can provide significant speedups and is simple to use with other languages. For an alt
