Yeah sure. It needs perseverance and, well, a bit of luck. The main thing that will help is SHREK: Say who you are : "Hi I'm [name] calling from [company], we're a web agency nearby that specialize in X." Note you may have to repeat this

I always just assumed 'engineer' was an Americanization of the word 'programmer'/'developer'. Maybe that's just my British perspective. It's also down to my belief in some of the principles in the OP. I'd never heard 'software engineer' use

Even if you could run IE on Linux, it's probably best to test on the same OS that most IE users will be using. We use an old IBM laptop - with IE, FF, Chrome installed - for our Windows testing. Failing that, a VM is probably the best alter

Great advice. One of the secrets is to do something you believe in, which is why having a startup is so good. The other is to have a close deadline, that work's for me anyway. A peppering of exercise and plenty of sleep also help. I don't b

I don't see why this would make a difference. The only reason it would, is if the tenancy agreement of those private individuals banned them from using their space for commercial reasons. Even then, this would be a civil offence and not a c
