Thanks a lot for mentioning this - I was about to have to dive into setting up a build for an Angular app I'm working on (which I need to learn eventually, just not right now) so that project really helps.

Then you might like Office Publisher. But this seems like an entirely different use case. In this case, writing/editing/collaborating is the primary purpose, and formatting and style is only there for those purposes. This is not a

Thanks for the clarification - that does sound more nuanced than what I gathered originally. It actually sounds like a quite interesting way to do discussion - I'd love to hear more, if you've fleshed it out any further.

Forgive me if I'm missing the point, but it looks like it's just a complicated description of tagging, with commenting on the tags instead of the individual articles. That said, it could still be interesting. The problem is, unles

Granted, but that's an incidental problem, not one arising from JS being a bad language. Also, I highly doubt there is much advertising code that changes the value of "undefined" - certainly not any I've encountered. Thi

Isn't this whole issue just a minor version of the problem Ruby has with monkeypatching? The fact that a Ruby guy can define `method_missing` to allow for bare strings shows how Ruby is cool (though you should never do that), but the f

It's not Flash - I have Flashblock, and there is a flash video on the page lower down, but the upper two are some HTML player. Right-clicking them doesn't show the Flash context menu items, which is another giveaway.

This could be really huge for me. I've tried using Google Calendar to get Google Now, but none of the todo apps I prefer sync with it, and Google Now isn't that useful on a Wifi-only tablet anyway. EDIT: Wow. This is the best-desi

Looks like it's not two different fonts, just that Neue Haas isn't recognized as a font name by OSX, so it falls back to the default font - a serif, in this case.

Yeah - I do agree with your main point, it was just the malaria thing that bugged me. Saying that hackers can't be effective in the public sector, whether as hackers or jut as people, seems myopic to me, which we appear to agree on.

Malaria killed 660,000 people last year alone, with 219,000,000 cases. From the WHO 2012 Malaria Report: > Between 2000 and 2010, malaria mortality rates fell by 26% around the world. In the WHO African Region the decrease was 33%. Durin

I may be assuming unfairly, but the than/then confusion referred to is a problem I have seen almost exclusively in native English speakers who try to spell phonetically. Non-native speakers have other problems, which I generally gloss

"reading" doesn't necessarily have to be done by a human. As PRISM has shown, the government has capabilities we weren't aware (or at least sure) of. Would it be that ridiculous that they would have algorithmic scrapers

Interesting. Do many people really use LinkedIn as a central online identity, like many use FB or Twitter? It's always seemed to me to be more of something to show employers than something used as an identity or social presence.

Aaron Swartz's death ended up taking over the entire front page at one point. There was an image showing that at the time, but I can't recall where it was off the top of my head.

But the concept is still useful in other scenarios - it isn't limited to cars just because that's where it's shown. Also, a HUD for driving would be pretty sweet, especially for the driver.
