My guess is that, while the games technically run on chrome, they require the asm.js optimizations that only Firefox has atm in order to run at a decent speed.

That was part of my point - that's what I think their reasons are for the policy on the iOS app store, and the MAS policy is the way it is to stay in line with that. I agree that it's a terrible system, but that's my best gue

This is literally the first thing they explain in TFA, if you'd actually read it. tl;dr: it's all public data, meaning spammers know everything they do about the corpus, and it can't add significant latency.

That's not what he said. He said it probably wasn't rendr for angular. I'm pretty sure he's saying they preload the initial viewing template (not a prefilled template) based on app state - stuff like clientside routing
