Almost all the stuff Garmin leaves out is the stuff I don't want to do on my watch anyway. I bought an Apple Watch and it was so fiddly and always trying to get my attention to the point I returned it.

Most Garmin users wouldn't ever be using Apple Fitness+ to workout. Totally different markets. The lack of sensor compatibility and lack of battery life make the Apple Watch a non-starter for a lot of the really serious fitness/

One thing I don't get about this is say DOJ wins and significantly weakens Apple. They'll basically hand the market to foreign companies. Seems odd. Google does not need an assist here, last I checked they are doing great, and c

Interesting, I've had 2 Garmin Smart Watches and never felt like Apple was restricting them. I am curious what things the iPhone does that others aren't allowed to do. Most of the differences between Garmin and Apple Watch seem li

Your video is crazy. I have never seen anything like that up here in New England. That towel has more ticks on it than I've seen in my life, and we're not exactly a low-Lyme area. Good luck!

For it's time the way X did things was incredibly elegant and it worked really well and did things that seemed very sophisticated long before other systems could handle remote desktops. There's a lot of stuff that seems hackish ab

A lot of those gauges were on airplanes decades and decades ago, they just weren't in cheap GA airplanes. EGT, Manifold Pressure, etc.. were on planes before WWII IIRC.

I took lessons in the early 90s, didn't finish, then took lessons again in the early 2000s and again quit. The second time I took lessons at Hanscom field. In both cases things had not really progressed much at all beyond his experie

So many of these small businesses are certified but break the law like crazy. Part 107 means you can apply for waivers with the FAA for specific activities. They almost never do for routine stuff because it would be a huge extra cost for t

White tail deer are definitely not scared of drone noise. Heck they are not scared of road noise, which is much much louder.

Same with mountain bikes. Ride up to the deer on a bike and it's not scared. Get off to take a picture and it bolts.

North Korea has a major beef with Japan. They’re still holding a grudge over being occupied in WW2. Interestingly a bunch of NK’s aging infrastructure was supposedly built by the Japanese.

This kind of thing has actually existed for a long time. They predated dating sites and had even worked off paper as far as I understand. The problem is they cost a lot more, and still had basically zero guarantee of any success. IIRC t
