For me the issue is typing is automatic. If I am a "conscientious typist" and I am actively/awarely concentrating on my fingers with MX browns I move my fingers with smaller travel and just go a little past the tactile bump a

I tried that, the o-rings made things worse. They soften the bottoming but they also increase the force required to actuate the key. They also make the feel of the keyboard horrible IMO. There's something about the tactile nature of

Yes I mentioned owning both a TEK (Truly Ergonomic Keyboard) which I believe had the Kalih brown-types and I also owned a Kinesis with Cherry MX Browns. Neither helped.. the Kinesis is what I was using when things got so bad I had to go to

The Topre is the only thing I didn't try. It's tempting, but it's an expensive keyboard and I have no problems just using cheap rubber dome/chiclet/butterfly keyboards. Your experience is just like mine, but mine g

It's based on a false belief that the feel of these keyboards actually translates into a better experience and is less damaging on the hands/fingers. There's no proof it's true. It never holds up in studies, and if it w

Heh.. my full circle ended up with 5 years of playing with mechanical keyboards causing RSI. I was completely brainwashed by the community that mechanical keyboards were the solution to RSI and had a major blind spot. I even learned dvorak

Excellent analogy, I'm old enough to remember those old generational jumps and the M1 feels like that to me. Last time it felt like there was a jump this big was around 2005-2006 when the Core 2 Duo started becoming common.

The point is the keyboard on a 2018 Macbook when Jony Ive was allowed to push his nonsense is just not the same keyboard as on a current Macbooks. It's a different keyboard. Different mechanism, very different feel, larger key travel,

Just search "Jira vs Flow" or "Jira vs Asana" or "Flow vs Asana" and you will find a bunch of sites showing competitive breakdowns. Flow looks way more tailored towards simple SMBs that you would think would ha

I had this pop up in my twitter feed independently. When I went to go look at it's basically a lite version of something like Jira. Far less featured, maybe not targetted as much at software development. In competitive sales analyses

The churches can say they have no profits, but there's a lot of money getting spent on dubious things that a typical non-profit doesn't have. So you can tax the golden altars they build, or the private jets the pastors fly around

I'm super cautious like you but one thing about the Mini and Mini 2 is they don't attract much attention. They're really small and pretty darn quiet. I've had my Mini about a year and have yet to have any interaction wi

Indy cars IIRC have run into the problem on banked tracks. They did something to slow the cars down and remove the need for G-suits. Indy cars got to around 5G, which is pretty hard to sustain without a G-suit. The 9G stuff in the F-16/
