Those riders are all influencers and likely getting the tires through sponsorship though, that is something that always needs to be kept in mind with cycling. They don't make enough money to necessarily be able to ride what they think

If the weather is cold (as it was) the meat will freeze and/or can be dried quickly and be preserved over the course of the winter. Modern subsistence hunters still do this. Hunt a large animal or two at the start of winter and the me

Looks like a great article, I will have to spend some time listening, though I've already listened to tons of Miles Davis over the years. These articles are always missing a ton when they're written by a non-musician. That seems

The Rene Herse tires are just branding on tires he has made for him by Panaracer. They used to be called Compass Tires till he made a deal with the Rene Herse estate to use the Herse name for branding. He basically asks Panaracer to make

I live in New England, we sometimes have watering bans but overall we have nothing like California. We already have graduated water increases in my town, go above a certain limit and your price will go up 5X. It seems insane that any place

Not sure if you grew up in the US, but a lot of people in the US make a conscious decision it's not worth it to work hard earlier in life to have a better outcome later in life. I grew up in Massachusetts, one of the most educated stat

My father has had a pair of B&W 7xx loudspeakers for almost 30 years now. Once you get something like that there's no reason to ever look at anything else again unless you've got issues. I've spent a ton of time listening

Excellent points... almost no hi-fi no matter how high end actually captures what instruments in the room sound like since instruments just don't act the same way. The recordings themselves don't capture a lot of that information

I hope you draw and quarter your friends who spend $50k+ on sedans/coupes/sports cars that have no reason for being other than to go faster than is legal and to burn extra gas. It's a slippery slope to go down to say you know

You can rent from U-haul and use it as an actual work truck no problem. I damaged a U-haul once and it was fine, it was all covered. We rented a U-haul this year and hauled about 2000lbs of stuff to the dump with it in one trip.

Who said anything about 5 times a year? And most people on this site are driving ICE cars and SUVs which are much less efficient than an F-150 EV and are themselves very oversized.

I have rented trucks and cars plenty.. it would be quite a bit of a hassle for a lot of these jobs though. The traveling back and forth to pick up the rental and then take it back would add significant time and require someone else to take

Different argument but I can support that. Point being people who live an apartment are far more likely to be buying a truck because they want it, and far less need for it for actual jobs & chores.

I own a Subaru Outback too and the greenwash earthy crunchy marketing/image of the Outback is horrible. It's a pig of a car in traffic. Mine is a 2013 with the smaller engine and it struggles to get 20mpg in traffic. It was a ch

Hot nonsense. Most sedans have a max payload < 1000lbs including all passengers. An F-150 has a payload over 3000lbs and can tow up to 14,000lbs. Do you need that for your groceries? No, but if you don't live in the heart of the c

The problem with the Kinesis is you're never going to always have a Kinesis available if you have to use someone else's computer, so it's really hard to really get to the point you use it correctly without thinking about it.
