If it was "do you have the time" then as long as they had the time, people would feel fine taking sick time, even if they weren't sick. Or even worse, the policy at my employer - within a given year you may take up to five of your accrued

Seriously, this forced march from Slicehost to Rackspace Cloud has been an absolute trainwreck and I've been meaning to move all my services away to Linode as soon as I can find the time. Maybe during this long weekend.

Based on my month with a Chromebook, the only thing lightning-fast about it was its bootup. It was pretty choppy at rendering pages, while Chrome on my desktop was in fact lightning-fast.

This is spot on. I really regret having bought a TiVo Premiere due to blind brand loyalty. It's been 15 months since the Premiere was released, and the software is still as half-baked as it was when they first shipped. The thing randomly l

If the book is unencumbered by DRM, then yes, I agree it'd be fair. Otherwise there's a certain hit to the utility of an ebook versus a printed book and the price needs to reflect that. I can't lend it to a friend (let's face it, Amazon's

I've been using a Samsung Series 5 for a couple weeks (I have the 3G model which is priced at $499). After having tried this out, there's no way I would call it worth $499. Maybe I'm just spoiled from my MacBook Air but the Series 5 is heav
