For open-source agents, like https://pi.dev , it is as easy as asking it to create a plugin to stop the session or ask for permission whenever the LLM is trying to execute a commit command. I believe Claude and Codex also suport

Nvidia GPUs aren't even the absolute SOTA for LLM inference anymore. Some labs are moving to ASICs and Huawei already have their own custom chips running DeepSeek as we speak. There's enough money and scale on the line that softwa

If Anthropic themselves say competition is 10 months behind, it's probably 5 or less. And you seem to think "no one uses" DeepSeek's v4, z.AI's GLM 5.2 or Xiaomi's MiMo 2.5 from their official APIs when they pr

That's one possibility albeit quite charitable. I'd be inclined to think the same personally if GLM 5.2 wasn't also rocking in other areas too.

That's possibly the worst pelican I saw from all recent LLMs. Meanwhile GLM 5.2 drew a cool self-contained fully animated SVG pelican: https://simonwillison.net/2026/Jun/17/glm-52

The only metric that worked for me is running the same prompt 5x for each LLMs on my projects. I keep specific branches a state where they are ready to develop new features.

I think you are correct. OpenCode Go doesn't use DeepSeek V4 from the official API to the best of my knowledge.

A more fair and useful comparison would be to feed both LLMs with documentation about such niche knowledge in the contex, then ask.

Perhaps you read those western times as being the more expensive time windows? They are the cheaper times. I know it can be confusing. But please let me know where my math is wrong.

So DeepSeek v4 will cost 2x between 9:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00, Beijing Time. This is UTC+8 so to get cheaper DeepSeek: - in London (BST / UTC+1): 11:00 to 02:00, and 05:00 to 07:00. - in NY (EDT / UTC-4): 06:00 to 21:00, an

Why would you say that? I use DeepSeek V4 Flash (high) and MiMo 2.5 (non Pro, because vision) to work on medium sized projects (~1mil lines of code, C#, Go, TypeScript) with great success. And that is coming from someone who used Opus 4.7 a

I think most of these $20/mo subscrptions will either be Apple's iCloud, Microsoft's Office 365 or Google's Drive+Office plans which already do or will offer bundled AI. I know Google gives me free Gemini AI from my Goog

It seems people will lose their jobs AND their small business too. Small agencies won't have access to the best LLMs so their services will automatically require more time and manual labour, which makes them more expensive.

This makes me sad since it implies that the best LLM I will ever be allowed to use is GPT 5.5 and Opus 4.8. Anything smarter than that is deemed too risky. So much wasted potential. And why would I pay Anthropic or OpenAI once consumer hard

But it's quantized right? It's not the same almost-free DeepSeek you get from the API. And once the context gets large, it slows down. "up to" 150, is doing a lot of work there.

GLM 5.2 is priced at 1/3 of Opus. Depending on who you ask for a napkin math. Not worth it in my opinion. You'll get 10x more value by using MiMo 2.5 or DeepSeek Flash which is what I use for most code.

The tech is Google's invention, popularized by OpenAI, so Anthropic should still stfu in that case.

I think that's one of the reasons why VSCode adds AI as coauthor by default on commits when GitHub Copilot was used. To try to tag AI commits in an attempt to help filter that out in model training. Controversial default to say the lea

Wow, this is sad to hear. So if I understood correctly, node is walking back from trying to run TypeScript? Pretty sad if so. I hope it's a temporary step back to leap forward, in the future.
