Even if you're developing for macOS you can skip xcode. I've had a great time developing a menubar app for macOS and not once did I need to open xcode.

Well, I thought Simon wasn't an influencer. He strikes me as someone genuinely curious about this stuff, but sometimes his content is like something a YouTuber would write for internet clouts.

Last I checked it spawns claude subprocesses that quickly eat up your RAM and CPU cycles. When I realized the UI redraws are blocking (!) I noped out of it.

When even Simon falls for the hype, you know the entire field is a bubble. And I say that as an AI researcher with papers on LLMs and several apps built around them. Seriously, until when are people going to re-invent the wheel and claim it

Fully agreed on the clawdbot hype. But I feel like a "natural selection" process is taking place in these situations; AI influencers and vibe coders are going to fall for it (good riddance). Any programmer worth their salt (like t

lmster is what was lacking in lmstudio (yes, they have lms but it lacks so many functionalities that the GUI version has). but it's a bit too little too late. people running this probably can already setup llama.cpp pretty easily. lmst

Sorry, so basically you're saying there are two separate guidelines, one for Python and one for Rust, and you have the LLM write it first in Python and then Rust. But I still don't understand why it would be any better than writin

IDK what's going on in your shop but that sounds like a terrible idea! - Libraries don't necessarily map one-to-one from Python to Rust/etc. - Paradigms don't map neatly; Python is OO, Rust leans more towards FP. - Even

Well, verification is easier than creation (i.e., P ≠ NP). I think humans who can quickly verify something works will be in more demand than those who know how to write it. Even better: Since LLMs aren't as creative as humans (in-distr
