At the end of the day, I expect a journal that I pay for to be better than arXiv and that means quality control. Few people have the time to self-vet everything they read to the extent that it should be in absence of other eyes

What were the risk adjusted returns? Without knowing that, this is all kind of meaningless. Being high beta in a rising market doesn't equate to anything brilliant.

The free version of Gemini says it could not replace the CEO of JP Morgan Chase but that it would make an excellent Chief Risk Officer or Chief Strategist. That would still save a ton of money!

I remember Leon going overboard. Too bad this is not adjustable, fifty years ago (the 70s) would be more interesting. Certainly a lot more bank robberies, hijackings and both domestic and international terrorism. Not to mention all the

Really? They knew about Project 2025 when they started development and were 100% certain that Trump would return and green light such a project in 20205?

Found OpenAI too often heavy handed. On balance, I'd probably pick Gemini narrowly over Seedream and just learn that sometimes Gemini needs a more specific prompt.

Thank you for this info. I had no idea why a couple weeks ago the calendar app was suddenly needing to connect to the net on startup and then doing a splash ad. Will be installing the Fossify version shortly!

I have two near 7 footers, plus 15 more from the bags. Luckily have an area with a vaulted ceiling. I use two things meant to hang backdrops for photo/video shoots that can go up 10" and hang a few lights on that. My bags are 15G

While Serber's book is good, if you really want to know the technical details about Manhattan/project Y, get a copy of Critical Assembly: A Technical History of Los Alamos during the Oppenheimer Years (1943-45) ISBN 978-0521541176

It is not an uncommon occurence in the White Mountains for stray boulders to injure and sometimes kill hikers. Just another reason not to wear headphones/buds while hiking, even a split second warning could be critical.
