Multiple implementations would be possible. Even begging me for 5c to read an article or watch a video would work. I would be able to make 200 such 'payments' per month. Its simple aggregation - a payment of 5c to a Youtuber would

Why doesn't JIRA offer a native desktop app? Everyone using it is on PC, Mac or Linux right? And then a cut-down iOS (iPhone and iPad) app covers the rest?

We need some kind of internet-wide micropayment infrastructure that distributes a cent per website visited. Like the Spotify of the internet. I'd happily pay $10/month for such a service, with the proceeds going to Youtubers, Stre

Its all about money and taxes. Let's start with a labour budget of $300,000 to hire a lead programmer or other critical person. France: 41.35% of the gross salary is paid to the Government in payroll taxes, leaving $175,938 paid as inc

The water was pretty fantastic though, I'll admit. Particularly after coming from Poland, with its gritty, hard water that turns all of your surfaces brown with iron rust or white with calcium deposits.

Those were heady days for phone manufacturers, and telecommunications in general. Motorola was flush with cash. Nowadays, product management in the phone industry is comparatively dull. Its just about predicting how many iPhones you will se

Immigration levels are at all-time highs into Australia right now. The #1 source country is India, #2 China. Australia hit 25 million people 33 years earlier than planned, and annual migration levels are about 300,000. Immigration is achiev

Studying at University in Australia as an international student is not about the education, its about the immigration pathway it enables. Australia has something like 600,000 international students, second only to the USA, because all inter

I find animal farming fascinating because they are basically just miniature bio-factories - converting feed and other additives into a higher-value food product. Of course, each different animal converts feed at a different rate of efficien

Its impressive that Apple is still supporting the iPhone 5S - a device released in 2013. By contrast Google's Nexus 5 flagship Android phone, also released in 2013, received its last major updated in 2015. 5 years of software updates (

China has an advantage that it has no large ethnic underclasses, and minimal welfare state. But the country would have been undoubtedly better off if the Nationalists won the civil war - and the place ended up like Taiwan.

We are at the end of the console cycle, which means games hardware requirements will plateau until the next gens are out. So from now, at 1080p, a 1070 is enough to handle everything at 60fps until then. That probably translates to a 2060
