Depending on the functionality you want, perhaps a synology (commercial solution) or nextcloud or even a samba box will be a better solution for privacy than Microsoft.

U know that especially pixel phones can be unlocked[0] for alternative roms without google? Alternatively you can debloat an android with a desktop thanks to adb, when you don't want to unlock and reset your phone for a new rom. There

I used an Kobo Aura HD (~2013 E-ink tech), with linux and is was almost fast enough to keep up with aafire. Using vim on a arm mx507 wasn't that fast anyway, so that the screen wasn't really a problem. It would have been a useful

Yeah, but most surfaces do run Linux,why not dual boot? I worked with Windows 10 WSL/WSL2 for a year now just to understand how one could setup windows as a good workspace for my colleges. And I do have to say even with the vastly more

Basically the Blackberry of old. I miss those things. Shame they killed BIS in my country, so those are mostly unusable today. I think the best way to achieve it all again is to create a set of interlocking apps who help you get things done

Intellij allows switching of theme with a keycombo, just clone your regular theme and edit it for focusing on comments. Same goes for other editors like vim where changing colours can be done fast.

Stau is a bad example for most cases, but yes you will always get some who think they know better, even if they had to learn in the driving school that lane jumping makes it just slower for everyone.
