As a tall person, I can't drive more than 30 minutes without needing a break for my legs. Stop-and-go traffic is especially hellish because I have to keep my feet on the brakes the whole time. Not a pleasant experience by any means.

Nowadays I find myself using excel as a ghetto tool for data munging: compare 2 lists with match(), copying tables from web tools and filtering them in creative ways. Text to columns is your friend. Also copy stuff into Notepad++ if I need

My understanding is that AWS was built from the ground up and is not a fork of the actual code that runs Amazon. This is apparent in that Amazon has internal competitors to DynamoDB and SWF. I'm sure there are other examples. To add to
