Jensen's comment on JR engineers is overstates because it has to be. He has to say that to juice his stock. "They were scrappy startups, making products that people actually enjoyed" We've definitely jumped the shark at

I learned from a friend that it's more defined now as Computational Thinking. I wish schools did more teaching in this way than what we have today. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computational_thinking

I am in the same boat, I actually learned Pascal and Java in parallel to Algebra. Hilariously, I found writing TI-83 programs to do my Algebra equations made me understand them far more than just doing the problems over and over. I actuall

Suing for software patents is... an interesting move. Working with lawyers in my job they made it very clear software patents are a nightmare to enforce. I think Oracle v Google proves this pretty clearly.

This is a great example of "classic AI" being more than good enough. Using AI to find patterns in patients and intervene was something I worked on in my last job in Specialty Pharma. Theres many red flags on patients long before t

Damn I was working on a similar blog post, I'll have to publish it sooner than later. Granted this is kind of a marketing piece for their platform. The idea of using automated tests for some of these scenarios is kind of a stretch, e.g

Now this is interesting, Apple does have a lot of top talent in the chip space, and they have the purse to pay. Theres only so many people who work on these things, so it makes sense that OAI likely wouldn't be able to poach the talent

FWIW I have owned a Tesla since 2017 and I charge at home from a standard wall outlet. Where I live most commutes are 25 miles a day, or almost an entire overnight to charge. That is 7 hours of charging, per day if you drive a Model Y. Rega

I am not really sure who this argument is for, who is arguing to run a blog or small site on K8s? Your $44k a month business is chump change in the world of tech, that is about $1 per minute. You can have a 2 hour outage and only lose $120.

I am very curious how this will play out. On one hand, I have seen it first hand here in Orlando that EVERY apartment complex uses the same software, all of them. At the same time, rent has gone up 300% in 10 years, or around 10% per year.
