I assume it's a mix of that gym model and the fact that ink is just overpriced so they can take less margin in exchange for the more stable revenue.

I know everyone hates subscriptions, and it sucks how much friction is being put in the way of folks who don't want it. But I've loved having an HP Smart plan. Most of the time I don't print a ton so I pay $1.50/month fo

I think the ultimate solution will combine touch screens with physical buttons and dials that adapt to different contexts. Ford already has what is effectively a stylus dial and products like the Elgato Stream Deck have basically solved how

I'm currently remodeling my house and our contractor recommended adding a fire suppression system as part of the project. I always assumed that would be something I couldnt afford but the quote was pretty reasonable (~2500) I wonder if

I really hope the world can accelerate it's adoption of energy sources that will replace oil. They aren't without their own flaws but besides Norway, I can't think of place where oil hasn't corrupted society in some majo

I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand the idea of subscriptions for components that are physically present in the car and don't require ongoing cost by the manufacturer to support them is annoying. On the other hand I think that t

The Verge has done some surveys on this[1] (not of their audience but of a national sample) and in 2021 90% of respondents had a positive view of Google, 89% of Netflix, 87% of Amazon, 79% of Apple, and 66% of Facebook (Instagram was 72%).

I think Ford is on the right track of having a large touch screen with an actual physical dial that just acts as a kind of stylus. The ability for the screen to dynamically adapt to different use cases is huge, but in an automotive context
