You can further optimize the setup by not installing engines/motors in all of them. So maybe you have one car providing locomotion, with the rest following behind and designed for carrying.

I moved from South Africa to Ireland 2 years ago. It was very noticeable to me how drivers in Ireland have no idea what to do when the lights are out. Absolute chaos! In south africa, traffic lights not working is a daily occurrence. And we

My previous fibre provider in Ireland was Virgin, and as far as I could tell, it was fully IPV6. Every device in my network got a public address, and self hosting stuff from home as was easy as setting up an A record at my DNS host. No fa

Not just any old amazon engineer. He's been with Amazon since at least 2008, and he's from Cape Town. It's very likely that he was part of the team that invented EC2.

Some countries have a points system, where every infraction gets points in addition to the fine. At a certain amount of points you lose your license. Pretty effective dissuade serial petty infringers!

As a former Huawei phone owner, and a present Honor phone owner, Samsung LG and Sony does not hold a candle to the quality on offer from Honor and Huawei. And this is coming from someone who has owned multiple Samsungs over the years.

What a stupid fucking strawman. Was ~35% of the US population in a coma when the elections happened? We are talking here about people who chose not to vote. Strictly, yes your cousin is a passive citizen. But no sane human will call them

I believe Tim Cook himself has said Apple is manufacturing in China not because of cheap labour, but because of good engineering. It's ironic that a lot of western domestic manufacturing takes place using machines that were engineered

If the windows build already performs better than on native windows, why faff around with another build target and all its associated complexities (testing, etc). Targeting Linux means probably targeting all distros, and that's asking

Presumably these shootings are done with the guns of parents/friends? How else is it possible for a school kid to get access to firearms so easily? I think the solution is to make it difficult for underage kids (U21's) to access g

Do you mind catching me up on what happened to Arc? It was a HN darling IIRC and now I get very "we don't talk about it anymore" vibes.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here, or if you are trying to somehow diminish my statement by somehow claiming that online documentation is causing the same magnitude of harm compared to using a book? Two things: 1 - I agree w

Isn't the struggling with docs and learning how and where to find the answers part of the learning process? I would argue a machine that short circuits the process of getting stuck in obtuse documentation is actually harmful long term.
