I agree that "simple" is a lot less significant in pg's approach. 37signals touts that Basecamp was done in 10 hours a week, whereas pg's approach seems a lot more intense and arduous. 37signals believes that you don't need to overwork your

I think Apple is okay with Creative Zen owners not buying MP3s from them. They're only targeting iPhone/iPod owners, which has by far the largest market share. The trouble of getting the iTunes store onto the web ( http://news.ycombinator.c

I'm glad the mobile platform is taking off (hopefully much faster now that the App Store was just opened!). The mobile web has been underwhelming for far too long. Good to see something with so much potential finally taking off.

True, but I feel there are better approached to include both. Does anyone who has knowledge of the iPhone SDK know if you can make a regular window scroll? That would allow the "Latest Trips" to be slightly below everything, so its a quick

I agree. Some of the people who commented have very valid points, yet he disregards them. Seems very prideful and stubborn.

I can't imagine anyone acting upon that email. It made no sense whatsoever. Might as well as "password, please give me at marko.blah@yahoo.com" That's ridiculous.

Why can't they allow you to add in these features if you want these features? There's no reason why the users should be forced to install all these bloaty features.

That's surprising (but great news!) that your IE6 visitors are that low. I agree, I'd imagine they have comparable numbers to make a decision like this. It'd be interesting info to know (anyone from 37signals out there? ;)

Thats a big win that they open sourced it! I don't know that it was a money issue. I feel like many of their products don't have a business model, per se. I just feel like it wasn't important enough to have developer cycles spent on it.
