Can anyone with this machine comment on their experience charging it with a standard smartphone/tablet battery pack through USB-C? If this actually works, it's a pretty killer feature over the MBA/Pro.

This bothers me as well- I'm trying to figure out a consistent way to determine which direction is "Inbound" and which is Outbound - turns out this is quite difficult! In the case of the N, the 4th and King terminus is closer

Yes, it's likely vehicles that change their assigned route or are moving between depots.

I find this perspective odd because as a self taught programmer I didn't bother learning or trying to learn any of the formalisms you mention like 'variables, strings, and symbols'. I learned by having a concrete project goal

That's concerning, the only two buildings I see in PLUTO built before 1700 are in Queens and Staten Island.

I believe the way PLUTO is organized is with 1) a value for when the building was first built, and 2) up to two most recent dates of building modification. The building modification data is itself worth exploring in some way, if anyone want

You're right, there's something else called MapPLUTO: http://www.nyc.gov/html/dcp/html/bytes/applbyte.shtml that seems to include building footprints. My bet is they're from the same sourc

Indeed, it looks like Yahoo! uses Nokia "here" maps as a data source. CartoDB is not a map provider, it's a web-based GIS suite that lets you import different base layers.
