It’s dreadful in the UK. The face matching is on device and just doesn’t work. I can’t search by detected objects. It doesn’t integrate with iMessage for sending large batches of photos via iCloud.

Disagree with this. I use the search for everything. It’s just so much quicker than even a well designed UI. On my iphone, I have one page of apps, everything else in the app drawer, and use the search all the time. It often gets what I wan

Governments provided with source code from MNCs like Huawei will be under strict NDA - providing source is very unusual for obvious reasons (poor security being one - assuming they know it’s bad, sharing it opens a huge threat vector). Th

UK here - not 20 minutes ago, sat in rural Kent, I picked up my wife’s iPhone to see the “E” at the top. Haven’t seen one in ages (I’m on a 3G+ only network, 3), and assumed we had shut it down.

Not used Firefox in ages, but what’s the matter with Safari? It sips battery and cpu cycles on my macs.

I think this is definitely get them an iPad and use FaceTime territory. They seem to be the least invasive in terms of just letting you get on with the task in hand, instead of having to understand what a OneUI update is and what each of th

It’s probably the non SSL ones that nefarious actors would find really interesting in the list, as who knows what else is up with them. I suspect the non ssl ones aren’t holding anything particularly useful at this stage though.

No one else uses the gov TLD. Gov.xx maybe, but that’s a different TLD.

I don’t remember it being that easy when I did it 3-4 years ago. I was also a bit uncomfortable downloading the google support libraries from APKmirror, as my life is on my google account. IIRC the APKs were unsigned.

I think you’ve set the WAN dns to the PiHole. You need to set the DNS in networks.

Definitely not a soldering iron (at least on UK plugs). Kitchen scissors in a pinch (or teeth in a real pinch) and presumably a couple of screwdrivers is in everyone’s toolkit if you own a house.

I guess the programming equivalent to this would be having an experienced network around you, but having a Road WhatsApp in a suburban area, with lots of people interested in DIY, leads for a fantastic tool collective. Surround yourself wit

I think my approach there if I didn’t have the correct tool (not sure if international plugs allow for the same, and sometimes manufacturers can be fussy about warranties), would be to lop the plug off, pass the cable through a smaller hole

In the metropolitan area I live, it’s not the theoretical maximum speed that’s the issue - 30mbps would be more than enough for almost anything. It’s the contention in high traffic areas. The phone just doesn’t work near mainline stations i

The modern (2023-2025) KIAs (is that what you’re referring to?) have been horrifically crashy in terms of suspension and ride compared to the Germans in my experience. Definitely wouldn’t be for me. We’ve got a 2024 Skoda Octavia VRS and ha
