Unusually, regulation is the issue - instead of raising rates (prohibited beyond a certain amount in CA), they just pull out.

This is madness - I get preventing huge premium jumps (although given that it’s a competitive landscape and many do jump ship between providers year on year, I suspect it is protecting largely the less financially astute), but if the upshot

I meant more for marketing - definitely used lots for loss prevention.

I was so pleased to switch to IPoE even on my UDM SE. The speeds are much more consistent now. Sky in the UK have been fantastic for FTTP.

I’m quite happy with the openreach setup in the UK - using a very simple ONT and whatever you want going into it router wise. They’re very close to just being a media converter, and the ONT SFPs are basically the same thing in a different f

Got a source on retailers actively doing this?

Wish AWS would support it in bedrock.

You’re coming at it from a point of knowledge. Read the first sentence of the Ollama website against the first paragraph of kobold’s GitHub. Newcomers don’t have a clue what “running a GGUF model..” means. It’s written by tech folk without

I think for me it’s more the targets - trying to shave a minute off a 5k time or similar.

What kind of exercise? I run, row, lift and do various group PT classes. Running it’s essential for pacing and target HR Zones, same for rowing, and on the group PT they’re very variable in terms of what they’re targeting, and it’s good to

I’d strongly disagree with tool vs fitness gadget here. Compare a Garmin to an Apple Watch or pebble, and it absolutely is a tool. Arguably the MIP display beats out the ePaper, ergonomics are great (I can use the buttons even while swimmin

What garmin is this? My Epix (just a Fenix 7 with a fancy screen) seems to hit GPS near instantly, and you can disable the touchscreen. AFAIK it’s only the very basic ones / fashion smartwatches that are touch only (or touch and one or

That’s just marketing surely? Is there any activity that you’d want, apart from diving, missing from a fenix/epix?

by bdavbdav 2y ago
Surely a Garmin is what you want? No subscription, 7 day+ battery life, smart watch features are there but largely secondary.

I’d extend that to sales calls where they try to get you to bend your requirements to fit the mis-aligned product.

I had the same on an AORUS X570. Displayport cables with a line tied both ends (shouldn’t be, but many are) would cause BIOS resets, corruption and memory retraining.

100%. For a lot of users that have WAF and time available to contend with, this is a steal. Bear in mind that a $50 google home or Alexa mini(?) is always going to be whatever google deem it to be. This is an open device which can be whatev

GH is basically abandonware at this stage it seems. They just seem to break random things, and there haven’t been any major updates / features for ages (and Gemini is still a way off for most).

I guess the difference here is that HA has a huge community already. I believe the estimate was around 250k installations running actively. I suspect a huge chunk of the HA users venn diagram slice fits within the voice users slice.

If you ever need to do this in future, Logitech have a web only tool that uses web serial to pair the receiver.
