I’m not sure about this pre-LLM AI being disappointing take. What are we considering as AI? AI encompasses all manner of fields. The face detection in my iPhone, nest doorbell works fantastically. The DSG in my car learns how I shift, fraud

It feels like there’s a disproportionate focus on the detection and management as compared to the causes of the large uptick. Is it just sedentary lifestyles and poor diet? If so, it feels like this is where the focus should be.

This seems a bit confusing. It highlights all the external hits, with no internal hits shown, then worries about IoT devices internally. Most people aren’t going to have any external ingress at all.

I suspect it would be like most other services that have a different price in each European country. I would guess the $value is a conversion for the article from one example country.

I was trying to think of a nice way to achieve that, but I suspect something like one of those logitech keyboard/touchpad wireless combos may be an easier way ahead

Stick the iPad in a case with magnets on to cling to a rack door and id be all over this instead of a crash cart. Especially if I could shrink wrap a sturdy HDMI cable to an adapter.

Isn’t Dex doing the opposite? I.e. displaying the UI on an external screen (which I believe iPad does too). I think this is capturing video and using the iPad as a monitor

Working on a very big but nowhere near as big or far reaching software project, even the most trivial changes take a long time end to end. The design review alone will have taken a long time at apple, without even starting to think about th

I’m willing to bet it’s both hardware video en/decoding (which is necessary for the near zero lag double jump) and the Wi-Fi chipset. If most people are running these things in a tv cabinet on Wi-Fi, both need to be pretty decent for t

I’ve just had to go back to my 11 pro after my 14 pro met its end. It’s absolutely fine, apart from the broken FaceID sensor, which is driving me nuts (using 1Password without it is irritating as anything. )

It’s a different hardware package too - id imagine the thermals differ significantly between the phone and the pad, and that you can drive the chip harder in the pad.

Yep - customers will start getting pretty shirty if websites become unavailable only on their ISP, as their ISP fails to respond to abuse reports.

I'm not sure they're even used for that purpose - that side of thing is done "live" as I understand it - the plans are so that ATC has the details on hand for each flight and it doesn't all need to be communicated b

Reading "Sandworm: A New Era Of Cyberwar" at the moment, which is fascinating and making me more and more cagey about mass centralised control.

I’m sure we fairly quickly (as in fairly quickly after 56k became a thing) had zero call rate ISPs who just charged a small monthly. We used to use FreeUK (eventually taken over by Clara), and had a second line dedicated to it.
