rsync uses ssh by default, no need for -e anymore unless you need to specify a key or port or blowfish (which you can all do with ~/.ssh/config)

Instead of calling this a decline I would call it a consolidation. Google Reader does everything I need a RSS reader to do. It works on my desktop and it works on my iPhone, need to synchronize between them since it is all on the web. All t

It depends on the number of machines. When I have 3 or 4 they get names (currently using Firefly characters), but when I have say 20 or more they get numbers. Or they get both so that my scripts are easier to write. For me it also depends o

I'm curious as to why your expenses were so high? Advertising and server charges should be the bulk of that, correct?

Not a terribly useful article. 2. Tell people your competition sucks - unethical. 4. Seed your site using Mechanical Turk - unethical, depending on the type of site you have. 5. Have a blog - should be 'Have a Popular Blog' He leaves out us

I think this demonstrates why people should be more careful about what they post in public forums, under their own names. The ability to make associations like this is only going to become easier.

Same here. I've been using them for years with no problems. These stories worry me enough that I do an annual review of the other options out there -- but none of them are as good as PayPal. I also don't keep funds in my PP account, as well

Very, very true. Just as no battle plan survives contact with the enemy, no product idea survives contact with the customers. From the ground up you need to plan for change, keeping your development cycle flexible so that you can adapt and

This is similar to what I found. It is still faster to use my local DJB dnscache than any of the ISP DNS servers. And Google DNS was slower than the rest. I did notice that level3 and OpenDNS seem to cache better -- they get considerably fa

OpenID is a good solution for this. Single login and the service can pull your email info from it. I haven't seen anyone do OpenID in an iPhone App yet.
