If the app expects the value of the field to be blank because that is what it was set to, then Chrome auto fills it, but it doesn't generate onChange events. So the app never knows the form has a value.

So many ugly hacks are needed as a consequence of this. I know what I want my app to do better than you Chrome. Please don't purposely break the Internet. When I try to do user management. I can't call the fields `username` or `

How does this relate to high frequency trading and paying more to get access to servers closer to the exchange? Is that paid prioritization / a fast lane? Or is that just purchasing a better plan? Where is the line drawn?

What are the specifics in regard to peering? It seemed like with Netflix there was some confusion and FUD and it was hard to know the exact facts. Normally as a business you are required to purchase bandwidth from bandwidth providers. I w

Speaking of finance and education... One things that makes no sense to me. Take 2 different scenarios: 1) Youth gets paid $4/hr (well below the minimum wage) to work in their chosen field as an apprenticeship. Graduates with a certif

That list is so touchy feely. It makes me feel like one of those "What are our company values?" meetings where people spend hours deliberating about things that are just a random list of positive adjectives taken from a dictionar

Doesn't the president have veto power? Seems kind of silly to make a law that says Obama can't do something when he can just veto said law.

I'll have to check it out. I remember back when I was doing Angular I looked through several and none of them were even close for what I wanted to do. I think React is much more standardized.

I'm in favor of a much higher land tax and getting rid of income and capital gains taxes. Taxing income and capital gains seems counter productive to me as it creates a penalty for working harder and investing. Those are activities th

Liberty is about having a choice. Being taken care of is security. They are completely different concepts. If you are given liberty you can still make foolish choices that lead to a loss of life or shortening of your life. Also, if someone

I would lean towards the "tough shit" method. Although, if it was paid bi-monthly they would only be screwed for 2 weeks. Not long enough to realistically have any life threatening consequences. They would learn pretty quick.

What is meant by cash in this context? I'm assuming a lot of it is invested in financial vehicles with varying degrees of risk and liquidity? It's not just sitting in a savings account earning 0.01% interest, is it?

90% of words in the English language are not used by the majority of people. Maybe we should just get rid of those words? 99% of the world doesn't use Calculus. Maybe we should stop teaching it in school. Lame article.

Not that San Francisco has any room for new buildings but this smells like crony capitalism. Which solar panel company lobbied to have this become law? And which politician is getting the kickback?

No. There's a subtle yet important difference between treating people equally and making people equal. What you are talking about is equality of outcome. I'm talking about equality before the law. They are 2 different things. ht

I'm not sure. Most of the large tax software companies give the low end product away for free or close to free. They make their money from people with more complicated scenarios not people filing 1040EZ's.
