From what I've seen, this is accurate for medium-big tech companies in the Bay Area. Unlikely to be as high outside of the Bay.

If the speed limit is 65 but in practice driving 70 is still safe enough, we should raise the speed limit to 70. Going further, there is some evidence that getting rid of the speed limit actually reduces accident rates (eg. German autobahns

I don't totally agree with that. A law should either be enforced close to 100% of the time (with exceptions at the discretion of a court), or 0% of the time (ie. the law should not exist). If jay walking, pot smoking, or anti-sodemy la

Out of curiosity, what's the alternative to if/else? Assuming polymorphism wasn't around in the 50's, did people express the idea of conditional execution based on the result of evaluating some expression using and/

I agree! I wonder if these regional differences correlate with voting for Trump, given that he promised to bring back factory jobs, many of which are now automated. Could it be that some Trump voters are thinking these jobs are recoverable,

I think it's more about the way they express their opinions, rather than the content of those opinions. Posting in ALL CAPS, posting fake news or insults to other members of the community, posting to incite anger, etc. does not make fo

Looks nifty, I just signed up! Lots of naysayers in this thread, but this looks super useful to me. I have domains with a few registrars, and I manage them via a Google spreadsheet today.

Still not sure I understand. All the code in that link is valid TS - TS is just a superset of JS. Object spread is not part of the ES7 spec. It is a proposal which has not made it to stage 3 yet, and might still be dropped. That said, there

I would agree if they were at all different, but they seem to be syntactically and functionally identical. As a caveat, I am a daily TS user, and have only played around with Flow.
