I saw Ben Novak talk at the Interval last year. He mentioned that a few animals have been resurrected in a slightly different way already. Eg. the Red Factor Canary was resurrected by breeding a Domestic Canary and a Red Siskin. Apparently

How legitimate is their use of "concentration camp", as opposed to the less automated and smaller scale "black site"? Has this story been corroborated, and do we know how many people have been interned?

Awesome work! Any chance you can add TypeScript to the "Vote for a Language" menu?

If I recall, this was a core idea in Godel Escher Bach. Is meaning inherent to information, or do you always need a compatible interpreter (eg. a human mind)? Messages don't exist by themselves, but are layered. Eg. To understand that

Do you have some code samples you could link? On the face of it, this is the exact opposite of what React, Vue, Angular, Ember, Backbone, etc. do.

I'd bet on Thiel. Not only has he pulled these sort of PR moves in the past, but Founders invested in 3 Lyft rounds (including leading its B round).

No lightbulb, but cmd+. did it -- Thanks! Any way to format the import too (we use single quotes and no semicolon, enforced by TSLint)? Awesome job on JS/TS integration by the way. I've used Frontpage, Dreamweaver, Notepad++, Subl

The extension is very low quality. TS2.2 shipped support for auto-importing missing dependencies, and VSCode mentions in this release that they support it. My hope is that this blessed implementation is better than the Auto Import extension

Awesome work VSCode team!! I can't figure out how to enable TypeScript auto import - is it hidden behind a flag? Coming from IDEs, I've been waiting for this feature for a long time.

Backbone implements 1-way binding via model:change event + render(). Vue/React/Angular do various forms of diffing, which makes their incremental rendering more efficient than Backbone's.

Makes sense - it's sort of a psychological exploit to make the deal more enticing. Of course founders can always sell their shares on a secondary market, but it's much harder to turn down $5M cash.

What's the benefit of doing it this way, as opposed to selling some of their own shares from a previous round to the funding VC, or on the secondary market? Is it just a cleaner deal this way?
