An interesting follow-up is using various xAI (explainable AI) techniques to then investigate what features in an image the classifier uses to make its decisions. Saliency maps work great for images. When I was playing around with it, the b

I didn't really have a firm top 5 in mind, I meant it more in the sense of "this was very memorable indeed". But what the hell, it would be fun to reminisce some more. Kind of cheating because the book is a classic, so this i

Not a movie, but according to the wiki article linked a little further up the book “A Visit From The Goon Squad” by Jennifer Egan has metamodern qualities, and I heartily recommend reading it. It’s fantastic. The section in the format of a

The ones they sell aren’t great, but you can - with a bit of perseverance as it’s non-trivial - connect CSI-2 MIPI to a Raspberry Pi, and use any image sensor that supports that. Which includes a ton of great Sony CMOS sensors.

What are you talking about? CyberArk is enterprise privileged access management. It’s not an app you install and forget about for 1-2 years. It’s certainly not something you just uninstall because you found out very basic information about

Completely agree, I expressed that poorly - that Mist didn't just get rolled back into Cisco seems like an aberration given Cisco's spin-out culture, and I'd be curious to find out some day what happened for them to get scoop

Probably not. Look at Juniper specifically. In 2021, their revenue roughly broke down as 40% service provider, 35% enterprise campuses, 25% cloud. In 2025, that had shifted to 45% enterprise campuses, 30% service provider, and 25% cloud. Th

He didn't say that - he said they can be _more_ useful. The argument is that LLMs are unreliable, so using LLMs anywhere in your workflow introduces an unreliable contributor. It is then better to have that unreliable contributor on th
