Having designed websites with Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketch, I absolutely love Figma and especially Auto Layout. I don't think people realise how annoying it was to design a list of repeatable items. There already was

Very fun game. Got 15/20. I think I'd do better at an HSL version.

A tiny numbers mobile game, playable on Android, iOS, and the web.

I still play that game! Fairly popular in France, but nobody seems to know it in England weirdly enough. The newer board is a bit less readable than the 90's version. I also play it on my phone, although the AI isn't that good.

Inter is a great suggestion to try out modern font features. The lab is really useful: https://rsms.me/inter/lab/

TIL you can grab the scroll bar on iOS!! Thanks for this. Jumping to the bottom of a page was such a chore for me.

Very nice. I'd suggest adding a metronome option, so that we know where the 1 is.

Sometimes I randomly think of a famous person and ask myself "Are they still alive?". I remember doing it for Burt Bacharach and Dick Van Dyke (who's still alive!). This happened last month with Gene Hackman. I had just rewat

My favorite of his as well. Also in my top 10 movies of all time. Just a unique script, great cinematography, and a fantastic performance by Hackman. Love the sound editing. Special guests: Robert Duvall and Harrison Ford.

The joycons seem to attach as easily as a MagSafe connector… but I hope they don't detach as easily! I wonder if the handheld ergonomics were battle-tested to prevent accidental joycon detachment while gaming.

I saw the domain name and thought the same thing. Always an event to see a new post of his.

It's surprisingly great on iOS, even with the small UI factor. I managed to play it decently on an iPhone SE years ago. Would definitely recommend it if you want to play it on the go as it's still very fun to play nowadays.

For someone who just got into game development on Mac, this is very interesting. I'd never heard of this IDE before. Will give it a try.

This was launched in April 2024, not even 6 months ago. LocalWP was launched in 2017. So Automattic launched a similar tool to their competitor 7 years later ? You're just proving my point mate.

I've used Wordpress since 2006, when, in need of a dynamic website, and not knowing any programming language, I managed to build my own custom WP theme within a couple of weeks. WP's ease of use has always been its main asset. I&#

I love Figma but I agree that proper vector tools are lacking. Illustrator is complex but very powerful. Would you say that AD is enough for your needs regarding vector design? (I'm looking at ending my Adobe sub this year, would like

Probably a noob question but: why is E2E encryption hard to implement? It took WhatsApp a long time to implement as well. Is there a particular reason?

I'm one of those people. The convenience of having it readily accessible in the task bar at any point is definitely worth the $0.99 for me. Whether I'm in Figma, Sublime Text, VS Code, or Google Chrome, I can get different lengths

I hope this will finally stop developers from setting line-height: 1; on text inputs which cuts off the top and bottom parts of some letters. Even Google developers make this mistake.

I'm both a designer and developer, and even as a design-only tool, Figma is superior to all other web design apps I've used. Things like auto layout, component variants, nested instances, global variables… are just fantastic to us
